The brief for this activation centered on a simple but high-impact goal: get CommBank-branded megaphones into the hands of every fan to create a wall of sound for the Socceroos. However, the execution required more than just standing at a gate. With attendance levels varying across the stadium’s corners, our team had to pivot from stationary distribution to a more mobile, proactive approach. By leaving their fixed stations and moving directly into the crowds, the Emissaries team ensured that no section of the arena was left without the tools to participate in the match-day atmosphere.

Success in this environment relied on the team’s ability to read the room and act with autonomy. When traditional distribution points saw lower foot traffic, the team took the initiative to manage their own “on-the-ground” logistics, carrying boxes of megaphones throughout the arena to reach fans. This shift from passive labour to active engagement mirrored the energy of the game itself, ensuring the brand was seen as a facilitator of the fan experience rather than just a logo on a stand.
